Who can use a Virtual Assistant?

The answer to that one is ‘everyone’ – well, there are tasks within every organisation that can be outsourced to a Virtual Assistant – no matter what the line of business or where it is based, but working with a Virtual Assistant is not for everyone, as we explored in this blog.

It doesn’t matter what the organisation does.

We have worked with organisations in a wide range of sectors.

On the whole, the support required by organisations is similar. Yes, people have ways they like to do things, and yes, there are cultural and other considerations, but if there are things that your Virtual Assistant may need to know about your specific industry (for example any rules which a financial institution may need to abide by when using social media, or any sensitivities to be aware of due to the types of people your organisation supports) make sure they are aware of this in advance and give them the opportunity to swot up on any background information you can provide. See our blog on how we get to know your organisation.

We have worked with all types of organisations, from bid writers to fundraisers, from private equity firms to yoga teachers, from micro-charities to those with 8-figure incomes.

It doesn’t matter where the organisation is based.

We have worked with clients in Canada and America as well as people in the same village as us.

If you feel you could never work with someone remotely, just think about the people you have worked with.  For example, even as employees our ‘bosses’ were often out of the office or working away, so that’s the same as working with a Virtual Assistant.

Distance is no barrier to using a Virtual Assistant.

Some clients worry that they can’t build rapport and trust with someone whose face they have only seen via their LinkedIn profile, and that’s why we strongly encourage (read: require!) all of our team to have weekly calls with our clients – this regular contact, even if it’s just for 15 minutes, really helps build the relationship.

If you do happen to be local, it may be that your Virtual Assistant may be happy to meet up with you for ad-hoc meetings – but remember, we set up our businesses to work virtually so don’t assume that all VAs will be happy to meet in person, but the majority will welcome building those relationships with you.

It doesn’t matter how much support you need

We help people for just 10hrs a month, to over 100 hours a month

What’s great about working with Virtual Assistants, particularly teams of Virtual Assistants like ours, is that we can grow with you.  And you’ll be amazed at what a difference just working with us for 10hrs a month can make to you.  Some VAs will take on contracts for ad-hoc work but we have a minimum of 10hrs as that allows us to really embed ourselves in your organisation and be proactive rather than reactive.

It doesn’t matter what you need help with, or whether you even know what you need help with

We can guide you on what to delegate and how to delegate

Read our blog on delegating like a pro to find out how best to do this, or download our Guide to Delegation.

If you are perhaps one step away from delegating, as you’re not sure what you could delegate, then 30 ways to use a VA will give you inspiration!

We hope you are now getting excited as you’ve realised the possibilities of working with a VA. Get in touch with us if you have any questions, or check out our other blogs and resources to help you with your decision.
